The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) was established in 1944 as the only intergovernmental organization that brought
the worlds rubber producing and consuming stakeholders together. The IRSG shall be THE FORUM for the discussion of matters affecting the supply and demand for natural as well as synthetic rubber.
The IRSG will be the authoritative source of statistical data and analysis for all aspects of the rubber industry, including production, consumption and trade in rubber as well as rubber products. The seminal purpose of the secretariat is to prepare current estimates and analyse future supply and demand trends, while undertaking statistical and economic studies on specific aspects of the industry so as to continually improve its value-added service to stakeholders.
Organisations involved or interested in the rubber industry can become Member of the Panel of Associates. Established in 1990, the Panel of Associates is open to any organisation involved in the rubber industry. It provides greater interaction between industry and the Secretariat with benefits to both sides.
Membership of the Panel of Associates provides a valuable and cost-effective source of information for companies and organisations concerned. Services provided are constantly being improved, and the value is demonstrated by the current membership, which includes major natural rubber producer organisations, major synthetic rubber producers, traders and
the world's largest tyre and other rubber products manufacturers, as well as leading rubber industry consultants.
